As much as these guys make my skin crawl - I had to post this one because in the years I have spent living in Pupukea I have come into contact with a centipede only once before. This past week I've seen two centipedes - in our house!! Both times I was super anxious for Bison to find it and slaughter it... After this one I saw last night it got me thinking...We've been choosing not to kill any other insects - but the centipede is one that we still have feelings of fear towards and so of course our first thought is to hack it to pieces. Now we're thinking it's a test...if there's spirit in a spider then there must be spirit in a centipede... Na'au (our gut/instinct) tells us we need to catch the centipede and move him away from our house and then we're not going to see another one in the house again. Too bad that means we're waiting for one more to come visit...
