We literally stumbled upon this black bear who we later found out was named Rosie. This was up north near Roosevelt - the road was closed so we stopped to check out the view & some other travelers said "hey there's a bear right around the corner from you!" - we looked and Rosie was less than 20 feet away - scary and exciting all at once.
